Home Attendants or Home Health Aides provide in-home care for elderly or convalescent patients , or people with disabilities. They perform duties such as changing bed linen, preparing meals, assisting in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting with medications that are self- administered.
Salaries differ from one district to another by additional education and licensing, and amount of work or experience. Home Health-Care Workers with no experience may earn an hourly wage from $4.25 to $12.00. With two years of experience they usually earn $4.50 to $13.00, and Home Health-Care Workers with three or more years of experience may make $5.50 to $14.00 per hour.
