Insurance Special Agents recruit independent insurance agents in field
and maintain contact between them and home office. They advise agents
on matters pertaining to conduct of business, such as cancellations,
overdue accounts, technical problems, claims procedures, new business
contacts, and new products. They may gather information for
underwriters, and may inspect buildings to determine fire insurance
rates.
